theSpace
theSpace is a youth led social enterprise which since formation in 2015 has garnered tremendous convening power. It uses this convening power to engage young people, build their critical skills, and curate critical processes that allow young people to engage various stakeholders and contribute solutions to some of Zimbabwe’s most pressing challenges. theSpace works with young people and partners local and international public and private actors to build tools, skills and campaigns that transform great ideas into action.

Our Story
Key moments in our history
2015
theSpace Launched with three young leaders in the Harare Gardens. A total of 23 Embassies participate in the inaugural Embassy Exhibition, 6 debates convened and 1500 people participate in the event
2016
theSpace launches its social enterprise, philanthropy and takes the decision to intentionally use research as a tool for programing and contribution to Zimbabwe and Africa’s knowledge economy.
2017
Challenging Power – a conversation on the role and function of a constitution, constitutionalism and constitutionality gives birth to what will become Section7.
2019 / 2020
theSpace Launches its first leadership program – theSxoll. A planning meeting is held in Sandton – South Africa.

Inclubates and launches Section7.
