About our SDG Advocacy
On the 25th of September 2015, the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted at the United Nations World Summit. To be able to deliver on the historic sustainable development goals, theSpace is partnering with the UN Zimbabwe to raise awareness, activate youth agency and strengthen the capacity of young people. Zimbabwe’s youth make up more than 60% and are better positioned to lead and compliment Government of Zimbabwe efforts. Our Government has prioritised SDGs 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13 and 17 as the most critical, offering multilayered opportunities to address economic decline, rising poverty, income inequalities, inequality in access to basic social services and climate change. To raise awareness, promote and stimulate continued meaningful youth participation in the implementation of the SDGs in Zimbabwe the Space will convene capacity building training, conferences, workshops, meetings and undertake national campaigns.
theSpace aims to

Build Capacity
We want to build the capacity of half a million young Zimbabweans who are able to drive transformation and change in their communities.
